THE SIGNIFIGANCE OF ‘THE PORT’

Dwight Barnes was the original Mr. B. Dwight spent significant time in Belgium perfecting his craft of chocolatiering (along with photography) until later opening Mr. B’s in the Willmar, MN. The picture of the port used on our packaging was significant to Mr. B’s history because Dwight fell in love with this picture when he first saw it at a Belgian museum. As a gift upon opening the original Mr. B’s store, one of his Belgian friends, sent this photo to him on wall-sized rolled panels. Dwight had displayed them for years in his photography studio and later on in one of his Mr. B’s locations.
